Choosing a programme

Help for those who want to become a health and care professional

If you plan to train in the UK, you must undertake an approved programme to be eligible to apply to the Register. Before applying for a programme, you should check our online register of approved programmes.

To check entry requirements, or apply for a programme, you will need to contact education providers directly. We do not run an admissions service.

Register of approved programmes

The programmes on this list have met our education standards and are approved to run. Individuals who complete these programmes will meet relevant proficiency standards and are eligible to apply to join our Register.

Conduct and ethics

Applying for an approved programme is the start of your professional journey. You should consider our guidance on conduct and ethics for students when applying to, and when undertaking, an approved programme.

Health and disability

If you are a disabled person who is considering becoming a health and care professional, we have produced guidance to give more information about joining the professions that we regulate.
