Dr Pam Ricketts is an HCPC registered occupational therapist with over 30 years’ experience of practise in the UK and USA and was one of the first two HCPC Council Apprentices in 2021. Pam is currently the AHP Professional Lead for the Adult Community Services division at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. She is committed to excellence in professional practice with a proven track record of leading people, developing services and managing change. She is passionate about empowering individuals to maximise their potential, identifying education and learning opportunities to enable development and effect change.
Pam completed a Doctorate in Health Sciences in 2021 with a focus on clinical leadership in occupational therapy and presented her research findings at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Annual Conference.
Pam has a drive and passion for equality, inclusion and social justice. She chairs a divisional equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) committee and won two consecutive Values in Practice awards in recognition of her contribution to race equality and commitment to inclusivity. Pam has supported the HCPC to promote its work on EDI, including a webinar as part of the #myhcpcstandards programme in May 2023 and presentations to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
