Council Apprentice
Alice is a registered occupational therapist working in the NHS within the specialist area of neonatal care and children’s community therapy and has a strong interest in innovation and service development. Alice is also currently seconded to North East North Cumbria Integrated Care Board as an Allied Health Professional (AHP) Clinical Fellow leading on a data intelligence workstream exploring the lived experience of AHPs living with disability, difference and long-term health conditions. Alice is a proactive member of the AHP workforce involved in various working and professional advisory groups locally and nationally.
Alice is passionate about equality and diversity issues with a particular focus on enabling the voice of the lesser heard and understanding the influence of culture and attitudes on the workforce and service delivery across both physical and mental health settings.
Outside of work Alice is a mum to two young children, one of whom has a disability and several ongoing health needs, and enjoys Cani-Cross with her dog. Alice has contributed to various voluntary roles for over 20 years and currently stands as a parent governor at her local primary school.
