Case study: A biomedical scientist’s employer raised concerns following an incident where the registrant failed to follow procedure. When processing samples, the registrant failed to prevent contamination, which led to inaccurate results.

In this article, we provide three examples from real-life employers of HCPC registrants who describe how they are supporting their team with embedding the updated standards of proficiency.

The overall aim of this project is to explore ‘preparation for practice’ of newly qualified professionals who have completed pre-registration education and training programmes approved by the HCPC.
